When is the best time to book?
Newborn Sessions, it is best to contact me during your pregnancy to book in around your due date to ensure there is availability in my schedule. Once baby has arrived we can finalise a time and date for your session. Ideally it is best to photograph your newborn during the first two weeks.
Maternity Sessions, best time is around 34-37 weeks into your pregnancy, however can be done at any stage.
Family and portrait Sessions can be done at any time, preference for outdoor locations is just before sunset, or if you are an early riser just after sunrise, studio sessions can be accommodated at anytime.
If you have a specific date in mind, please ensure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.
How long will the session last?
Most sessions are generally around an hour, newborns allow for 3 hours.
These are approximate and a guide only, as our sessions are personalised it may change depending on what you are wanting from your session.
Do you do in home sessions?
Newborn sessions, Cake Smash and most Milestone sessions take place in my Studio at Kent Town, where everything is readily available for your session.
Maternity, family Sessions can take place either in the studio or on location, I have a number of dresses available to chose from or bring along your own.
In special circumstances only will an in home session be considered and I am open to that discussion.
What should I/we wear?
This is part of your pre-shoot consultation where we will have a chat prior to your session and I will provide you some guidance with what photographs well.
For your newborns and Milestone sessions I have everything we need, a large selection of wraps, hats, props and outfits that have been selected from here in Australia and overseas.
Maternity dresses are available for you to use in your session, an appointment can be included to come in and try prior to your session date.
Milestone Sessions, I do have some outfits for children aged 6-18mths for cake smash and sitter sessions, however we will chat about this in your pre-shoot consultation.
What experience do you have?
Yes, I’ve been photographing since 2015
I continually invest in my education with workshops and online learning, I have Cert iii in Photo Imaging and a Diploma in Photography and Digital Media,
Newborn safety is a number one priority, your baby will never be posed in a unsafe position or one they or you are uncomfortable with. All my sessions are baby led and at times you may be asked to assist.
My vaccinations are all up to date, including Covid, Whooping Cough as I understand as a mum myself how important it is and especially with your precious newborn.
How many photos do you take?
During your session I take a lot of images, I want to ensure I capture every little detail, you will typically be presented with approximately 30-40 images to choose from, sometimes there is more sometimes there is less, they are all individually professionally retouched by me.
How many people can be in my session?
As everyone’s session needs are different, my packages and sessions are based on the immediate family eg siblings and parents.
Other family members are welcome to join your session, however you need to consider how many images or printed products you will want from your session. If you have chosen the base package then a small additional fee applies to extended family members, however if you purchased on the ‘Add-on of additional images’ then there is no additional fee.
I encourage parents and siblings to be captured in your newborn and Milestone sessions.
When will I get to see the images?
After your session you will be invited back to your selection/ordering appointment within 2 weeks of your session. Here is where you will chose your favourites, add-on any other purchases you would like to make.
Your final selection will go through a final retouch and be prepared for production.
How much is the session?
Each session is priced uniquely due to the difference in time, and what is involved in your session. You will find all the details on pricing under Investment.
When do I pay?
There is a retainer to hold your session at the time of booking of $150, the balance is required to be paid 48 hours before your session (if booking a package, due to the discount that is applied the package price is due at the time of booking)
Where areas do you service?
I have clients from various locations within South Australia. The Studio being centrally located in Kent Town allows me service the Adelaide and Greater Adelaide areas.
For Location shoots, I have happy to travel and this can be discussed in your pre-shoot consultation.
Do you have gift vouchers?
Yes I do, its a lovely gift idea.
Can I purchase more images ?
The short answer is yes, additional images are Add-on’s to your session.
Individual images outside a Add-on Package’ can be purchased, however it may be more cost effective to purchase the ‘Add-on Package’
