When is the best time to book?
Newborn Sessions, it is best to contact me during your pregnancy to book in around your due date to ensure there is availability in my schedule. Once baby has arrived we can finalise a time and date for your session. Ideally it is best to photograph your newborn during the first two weeks. Older babies to be booked under Infant Sessions, as older babies may not be able to posed the same as a newborn..
Maternity Sessions, best time is around 34-37 weeks into your pregnancy, however can be done at any stage.
Family and portrait Sessions can be done at any time, preference for outdoor locations is just before sunset, or if you are an early riser just after sunrise, studio sessions can be accommodated at anytime.

Do you have availability on weekends?
Yes, this question gets asked the most as not everyone is available during the week, sessions can be booked on weekends for no additional cost.
How long will the session last?
Most sessions are generally between 30-60 mins, newborns allow for 3 hours.
These are approximate and a guide only, as the sessions are based on your purchased package and the amount of images required.
Do you do in home sessions?
Newborn sessions, Cake Smash and most Milestone sessions take place in my Studio at Kent Town, where everything is readily available for your session.
Maternity, family Sessions can take place either in the studio or on location, I have a number of dresses available to chose from or bring along your own.
In special circumstances only will an in home session be considered and I am open to that discussion, so I welcome the question.
Can I have an outdoor session?
Yes, for a number of different sessions you can book an outdoor session, however traditional newborn sessions are studio only.
What should I/we wear?
The most popular question that I get asked and this is part of your pre-shoot consultation where we will have a chat prior to your session and I will provide you some guidance with what photographs well.
For your newborns sessions I have everything we need, a large selection of wraps, hats, props and outfits that have been selected from here in Australia and overseas.
Maternity dresses are available for you to use in your session, an appointment can be included to come in and try prior to your session date.
Baby & Child sessions, I do have some outfits for children aged 6-18mths for cake smash and sitter sessions, however we will chat about this in your pre-shoot consultation.
Do you provide hair and make up services?
I am able to assist, however as I engage an external make up artist, who have their own business it is paramount that there is sufficient notice before your session, so please consider booking early.
What experience do you have?
Yes, I’ve been photographing since 2015, both personally and professionally.
I continually invest in my education with workshops and online learning, I have Cert iii in Photo Imaging and a Diploma in Photography and Digital Media,
Safety is a number one priority for both my clients and myself. Any sessions involving children will be a children led session, meaning that I will not insist nor have poses insisted on if the child/ren are unhappy or reluctant to participate.
My vaccinations are all up to date, including Covid, Whooping Cough as I understand as a mum myself how important it is and especially with your precious newborn.
I have a WWCC (Working with Children’s Certificate)
How many photos do you take?
During your session I take a lot of images, I want to ensure I capture every little detail and a variety of shots, you will typically be presented with the best from your session to choose from, all images are individually professionally retouched by me.
How many people can be in my session?
As everyone’s session needs are different, my packages and sessions are based on the immediate family eg siblings and parents.
Other family members are welcome to join your session, however this needs to be discussed prior to booking your family session.
I encourage parents and siblings to be captured in your newborn and Styled sessions.
When will I get to see the images?
After your session you will be invited back to your ordering appointment if you are purchasing prints, albums or wall art within 2 weeks of your session.
Otherwise, the gallery will be sent to you to review, select your images, any minor edits will be attended to and then download link will be sent.
How much is the session?
Each session is priced uniquely due to the difference in time, and what is involved in your session. You will find all the details on pricing under “Pricing”
When do I pay?
There is a retainer to hold your session at the time of booking of $150, the balance is required to be paid 48 hours before your session (if booking a package, due to the discount that is applied the package price is due at the time of booking) or specials that are run from time to time need to be paid in full, unless otherwise agreed.
Where areas do you service?
I have clients from various locations within South Australia. The Studio being centrally located in Kent Town allows me service the Adelaide and Greater Adelaide areas.
For Location shoots, I have happy to travel, this can be discussed in your pre-shoot consultation.
Do you have gift vouchers?
Yes I do, its a lovely gift idea.
Can I purchase more images ?
Short answer is yes, other packages come with smaller number of images and you can purchase more.
Our premium packages come with an entire gallery, so no need to shortlist your favourites.
If you are wanting more images, it may be best to purchase a higher package as that is where there are some significant savings to be had, also the session is based on your package choice, so if you are definitely wanting more images then selecting the right package is paramount.
