About the experience
The photography experience with our sessions are personalised.
It could simply be by chatting on the phone or on a zoom call, or coming into the studio to decide on your props, colours or to view and try on my maternity dresses that are in my collection, or decide on your location for your photography session. Planning your session together will allow you not only to be a valued part, but it creates an experience like no other.
I understand how to pose people in the most flattering ways, I don’t like the word posed, but you will be gently guided throughout your session to make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed.
We have an abundance of professional lighting equipment that allow us to capture a variety of beautiful concepts. As well as a large prop collection for your Newborn, Maternity or portrait sessions.
The utmost care is taken at all our photography sessions to ensure yours and our safety is paramount and that our clients receive the very best service, experience and of course images and prints from their session.
Your photography session is only the beginning of creating your images. Following your session, an extensive amount of time is spent curating and post-processing the best images to showcase in your gallery.
Within two weeks of your photo shoot, you’ll come back into the studio and we will share the best photos from your session based on lighting, background, focus, pose, facial expressions, and overall appeal and you will be able select your favourite photos to go into your chosen package.
This is such an important step as you will be able to discuss your photos and we can even personalise them a little more, so you can get exactly what you want, for example you might like a photo, but that little change would make you love it, I will do my very best to ensure that you love your photos, oh and you will be able to touch and feel all our beautiful samples!
Please understand that we do not release raw files, since they are not a finished product. You’re welcome to purchase additional edited digital portraits and prints if you wish to select more than your chosen package.
Step 1 – The Booking
When booking your session, we’ll schedule the time of the shoot and get everything set up so you have a perfect photography experience.
Step 2 – The Planning before your Session
It’s time to start planning your session, have a look at Jackie Allender Photography socials for inspiration and ideas.
If it is a Maternity Session do you have a favourite dress?
You can choose from an arrange of dressed that are in our client closet, from simple to elegant and regal.
Newborn, we have a lovely lifestyle set up in the Studio and a full studio experience which includes props and outfits.
Is it a family session? These can be formal or relaxed, in the studio or outdoors the choice is yours!
To help you decide on your perfect session, I will send you a questionnaire to help me get to know you and your family members a little better, you will also be provided with a pre-session guide for your photography session so everything goes smoothly on the day!
Step 3 – Session Day
It’s session day, its finally arrived!
Whatever your session, we’ll photograph specifically for your goals and create something unique and special for you, whilst laughing and having some fun.
Together we will create beautiful photos for you and your family to treasure.
Step 4 – The Premiere
If you are ordering prints, albums or wall art the day of your viewing, we’ll have drinks and snacks and start with a slideshow of your photos if you choose to view them in the studio, or via Zoom.
This is where you will choose your images for your artwork, then we’ll immediately start on the post production.
If it is only Digital Images – you will receive an email link to view your images on an online gallery.
We will be moving to Online Gallery views, due to an increase in Art Theft.
Step 5 – The Delivery
In 2-3 weeks your artwork will arrive in the studio. We’ll give you a call and have you pick it up or we’ll have it delivered and can even arrange for it to be installed for you.
