Your Photography Experience
Your Photography Experience should feel like so much more than simply turning up for photos.
From the moment you first enquire, my goal is to create a personalised and enjoyable Photography Experience that feels effortless, relaxed, and tailored specifically to you and your family.
Every client is different, which is why no two sessions are exactly the same. Whether you are booking a maternity session, newborn session, family session, or portrait session, your journey is thoughtfully planned to ensure your final images reflect your personality, style, and story.
A Personalised Photography From Start to Finish
The Photography Experience begins well before your session day.
Planning is such an important part of creating beautiful, meaningful images, and I love involving my clients in this process.
This may include:
- A phone consultation to discuss your ideas
- A Zoom call to plan your vision and answer questions
- A studio visit to view props, colour options, and wardrobe pieces
For maternity clients, you are also welcome to come into the studio to browse and try on pieces from my carefully curated collection of maternity gowns and dresses.
During this stage of your Photography Experience, we can also discuss:
- Styling preferences
- Colour palettes
- Props and setups
- Session goals
- Studio or outdoor locations
By planning your session together, you become an important part of the creative process.
This collaborative approach makes your Experience feel truly personalised and ensures your session reflects your unique vision.
A Relaxed and Comfortable Session Experience
One of the biggest concerns clients have before their session is usually the same:
“I don’t know how to pose.”
The good news is — you absolutely do not need to.
A huge part of your Experience is feeling comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
While I technically guide posing throughout the session, I prefer to think of it as gentle direction rather than rigid posing.
You will be naturally guided into flattering positions, with simple prompts and adjustments designed to help you feel relaxed and look your best.
Your Photography Experience should never feel stiff, awkward, or intimidating.
Instead, sessions are designed to feel calm, enjoyable, and natural while still creating polished and flattering images.
Professional Equipment for a Premium Photography Experience
Creating beautiful photographs involves much more than simply owning a camera.
Part of delivering a high-quality Experience is having access to professional equipment and a fully equipped studio environment.
I use professional lighting equipment that allows me to create a wide variety of beautiful concepts, lighting styles, and creative setups.
This gives us flexibility to create:
- Soft and timeless portraits
- Dramatic studio lighting
- Bright and airy images
- Classic newborn setups
- Elegant maternity portraits
In addition to lighting equipment, I also have an extensive prop and styling collection available for clients.
This includes items for:
- Newborn sessions
- Maternity sessions
- Portrait sessions
My growing collection allows your Photography Experience to feel elevated and fully styled without you needing to source everything yourself.
Safety and Client Care Always Come First
A positiveExperience should always prioritise comfort, safety, and exceptional service.
Whether you are bringing your brand-new baby into the studio or attending a maternity or portrait session, the utmost care is taken to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
Client wellbeing is always a priority.
This includes:
- Clean and sanitised studio spaces
- Safe newborn handling practices
- Comfortable studio temperatures
- A calm and unhurried environment
I want every client to leave their session feeling that their Photography Experience was enjoyable, professional, and stress-free.
Your Photography Experience Continues After the Session
Many people think the session itself is where the process ends, but in reality, your Photography Experience is only just beginning.
Following your session, a significant amount of time is spent carefully curating and editing your gallery.
This process includes selecting the strongest images based on:
- Lighting
- Composition
- Focus and sharpness
- Facial expressions
- Pose and body language
- Overall storytelling and appeal
Every selected image is professionally edited to ensure it meets the quality and standard my clients expect.
Editing is such an important part of the final Photography Experience, helping transform beautiful captures into polished finished artwork.
Your Gallery Reveal and Ordering Appointment
Within approximately two weeks of your session, you will return to the studio for your gallery reveal appointment, if you have chosen prints in your package.
This is one of my favourite parts.
During this appointment, you will view the best images from your session and choose your favourites to include in your selected package.
This step is incredibly valuable because it gives us an opportunity to review your images together.
We can discuss any final preferences and personalise your selections even further.
Sometimes you may love an image but feel that a small adjustment would make it perfect.
Whether that is a subtle edit or additional retouching, I will always do my best to ensure you truly love your final photographs.
You will also have the opportunity to touch and view beautiful printed product samples in person.
Seeing your images as printed artwork is a completely different experience from viewing them on a screen.
Finished Artwork Matters
As part of maintaining a premium Photography Experience, raw files are not provided.
Raw images are unfinished files and do not reflect the final quality or artistic vision of your session.
Your final edited images are professionally completed and delivered as polished artwork.
Additional edited digital portraits and professional prints are always available for purchase if you fall in love with more images than your selected package includes — which happens more often than clients expect.
More Than Just Photos
At its heart, your Photography Experience is about more than simply taking photographs.
It is about creating memories, preserving milestones, and giving you an enjoyable experience from beginning to end.
From planning your session, to guiding you in front of the camera, to revealing your finished gallery, every step is thoughtfully designed with you in mind.
I am passionate about creating a Photography Experience that feels personal, professional, and memorable.
I cannot wait to create something beautiful with you.

If it is a Maternity Session do you have a favourite dress?
You can choose from an arrange of dressed that are in our client closet, from simple to elegant and regal.
Newborn, we have a lovely lifestyle set up in the Studio and a full studio experience which includes props and outfits.
Is it a family session? These can be formal or relaxed, in the studio or outdoors the choice is yours!

This is where you will choose your images for your artwork, then we’ll immediately start on the post production.
If it is only Digital Images – you will receive an email link to view your images on an online gallery.
We will be moving to Online Gallery views, due to an increase in Art Theft.
Step 5 – The Delivery
